Graydon Krapohl for Ann Arbor City Council
I am running for City Council to represent Ann Arbor’s 4th Ward because I love Ann Arbor and want to have an active role in representing residents and in shaping Ann Arbor’s future. I am committed to being a public servant and in helping people and the community where I live. On council I am pragmatic in my approach and decision making. I keep an open mind when considering issues and take into account all viewpoints and all voices while always looking to build consensus. I cut through the rhetoric, identify the problem, and then work collaboratively to find solutions that work.
I have worked to improve the quality of life for our community by supporting the investment in road and infrastructure projects, improved pedestrian and cyclists safety programs; maintaining our parks, keeping our neighborhoods safe; and most important, helping residents find solutions to their problems. Just a few examples include:
Moving forward, we must insist on decisions that strengthen our community and create continued prosperity, while preserving Ann Arbor’s unique character. It is imperative that we look for new ways of thinking about the issues and problems we face. We need to reframe the questions we ask in order to develop the policies and programs needed to move forward. Only by doing this can we meet the challenges of today while also creating an environment for success in the future.
I believe Ann Arbor is headed in the right direction and will continue working to keep Ann Arbor a safe, vibrant and inviting community for all. I have the temperament, experience, character, and commitment to get the job done. Please remember to vote on August 7th and thank you for your support.
